Our Goal
We currently have a goal to raise $500,000 to support the Emergency Department, ensuring it has the critical equipment and resources needed to provide lifesaving care when every second counts. But beyond this, we need to make sure our local hospital receives the funds it needs to buy new equipment, expand services, and complete facility upgrades that go beyond government support.
We must recognize that our hospital is more than just a building—it’s a lifeline for the health and well-being of our loved ones. When we invest in our local hospital, we invest in our children, our parents, our friends, and ourselves. It is a testament to the strength of our community, and it shows how together, we can all do our part to keep healthcare close to home.

How to Donate
You have choices! Make a one-time donation or monthly contributions, with set amounts or your own custom contribution. The best part? You decide which fund your support helps and can even dedicate it to someone special. It's convenient and hassle-free. Donate online with just a few clicks.
Host a Community Event
We love seeing successful fundraisers organized by people like you – individuals, schools, community groups and companies. Whether you go for a sports event (hockey and golf are crowd-pleasers here!), a fun barbecue, a concert fundraiser, a yard sale, car wash, or any creative idea, we'll be by your side. Our team can help you with promo materials and spreading the word on social media and our website, so your cause gets the attention it deserves!

Gift of Securities and Stock Options.
You can make a gift of securities and stock options to the Lennox and Addington County General Hospital Foundation by transferring publicly traded shares from your brokerage account directly to our investment account. Plus, you get some benefits as a donor:
- You won't have to pay capital gains, which means you can give even more!

Life Insurance Gifting
With the gift of life insurance, you have options – you can name the Lennox and Addington County General Hospital Foundation as the beneficiary or transfer the policy ownership while continuing to pay premiums.

- You'll get a tax receipt that benefits your estate and helps you avoid probate tax.
- After transferring policy ownership, you'll receive income tax receipts for premiums.
- You may also be eligible for a tax receipt for the policy's fair market value.
Gifts in Your Will
Leave a gift in your will to the Lennox and Addington County General Hospital Foundation. It can be a specific amount, a percentage of the estate, or a valuable item. Benefits for you:
- Your bequest can be of any value to support healthcare in our area.
- You can make a larger gift to the Foundation without immediate outlay.
- An income tax receipt to the estate will reduce income tax owing.
- Your gifts will generate interest to support program development and purchase of medical equipment.
RRSPs / RRIFs
Consider naming the Lennox and Addington County General Hospital Foundation as beneficiary of your RRSP or RRIF and your estate will benefit by receiving an income tax receipt which will offset tax owing.
Gifts-In-Kind
The Lennox and Addington County General Hospital Foundation will consider accepting gifts in kind provided they further the vision and mission of the organization. Acceptable gifts-in-kind include listed and fixed value preferred shares (a common tool used by business owners for financial and tax planning), real estate, gifts of interest in real estate and trusts. Please note the Lennox and Addington County General Hospital Foundation does not accept gifts of cryptocurrency. However, donors can sell the cryptocurrency and donate the cash to the Lennox and Addington County General Hospital Foundation.
