“Positive, cheerful, friendly, caring, helpful are just some of the adjectives I would use to describe your staff. I always felt welcome and valued, never an imposition. If only that great attitude could be bottled and shared with others.”

For close to 30 years, the Lennox and Addington County General Hospital Foundation has been raising funds to help ensure a healthier and stronger community. Our goal? To keep healthcare close to home. We’re an independent, charitable organization governed by a dedicated group of volunteers. And they all just happen to be our neighbours and friends.
We hope (we really hope) you don’t need to use our local hospital anytime soon. But if you do, we’d like to know that you received the best care possible.
While the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long Term Care offers some support for basic healthcare needs, it doesn’t fully cover the costs of new medical equipment and facility upgrades. That’s where we step in.
Every year, we provide funding to the hospital for essential medical equipment, services and capital improvements, all with the goal of keeping healthcare close to home.
But here’s the crucial part: we can’t do it alone. We rely on the kindness and generosity of people like you to help us finance vital equipment and capital projects that invest in the future of our community’s care.
Your support makes an impact on the health and well-being of our community. Together, let’s strengthen our local healthcare and keep it thriving for years to come.
We work together with our generous supporters to generate and manage the funds needed to sustain Lennox and Addington County General Hospital facilities.
We want to see our hospital shine as a symbol of hope and healing, spreading its impact beyond its walls. Our mission is to provide excellent healthcare, ensuring every patient gets the best care and support possible.
To be a leader in healthcare philanthropy, engaging community support and inspiring a culture of giving for top-notch care in Lennox and Addington.
We believe in being honest, accountable and making ethical decisions. Our focus is always on putting the needs of our community first. Because our hospital receives limited government funding, we make responsible choices that benefit our community's well-being.
With limited government funding, strong leadership is crucial to managing finances and wisely allocating resources. We take a strategic and visionary approach to ensure our hospital can provide the best possible care.
Working together with others allows us to access grants, donations and more. This helps supplement government funding and enables us to invest in critical medical services in Lennox and Addington.
Due to limited government funding, we are committed to being accountable in our financial management. We carefully budget and track expenses to ensure transparency and effective use of resources.

“I was offered an opportunity to have my surgery done at your hospital and willingly took up the offer and I am very glad that I did. The attitude of every person I had contact with from the very first phone call to the final follow-up was ten out of ten. Thank you so much for your fine care.”
“I would like to express my sincere thanks and appreciation to the staff for all the care and dedication shown to me during my surgery.”
